“a girl’s love for jewellery is universal” i love that 🤍 this is such a lovely piece on women and their jewellery (our talismans if you think about it). also that story about the lost ring in the club is so heartwarming how the comradarie of girls immediately came together!
love this! my emotional support piece of jewelry is a gold heart knot ring from James Avery that i looked at online for years and my boyfriend gifted to me three Christmases ago. i never take it off, even to sleep or shower.
when my grandmother passed, i inherited a few pieces of her jewelry that help to keep me close to her. i hope one day to pass this ring on to my daughter or granddaughter and that they hold the same connection to me through shared jewelry.
This was such a beautiful piece!! I love everyone telling the story of their emotional support jewellery in the comments. Historically jewellery has saved women from situations of war, domestic violence, natural disasters and more. The connection a woman has to the piece she never takes off is something different! Thank you for writing this 🫶🏽
this is something i never really thought about before but its so true! my emotional support necklace is a replica of howl’s necklace from howl’s moving castle. i have his ring as well🙈
this was such a lovely read!! my comfort jewellery is a bracelet my friend gave me for my 17th birthday- it is crystals shaped like the eight planets in the solar system. also a bracelet with a star matching with my mother (hers is a moon) <3 i love astronomy and want to go into astrophysics, and they are both a reminder of my love for the subject and the thoughtfulness and love i am surrounded with.
This makes me sad, my grandmother gifted me a necklace and my parents misplaced it and don't understand why I'm so bothered by it. It was my emotional support necklace. ♥️
My comfort necklace is a necklace with a small drop-shaped diamond with a delicate silver chain. My mom gave it to me when I turned 15 and it's really true when I was in a crisis I touched it. My mother passed away and that day when she passed by I pulled my necklace so much that the diamond fell somewhere and I didn't find it again.
This resonates so much!! The love of a keepsake that starts to take on its own life by being so woven into yours! I love this! Please keep writing!!
that’s a beautiful way of putting it! thank you 🥹💗

I love how personal jewelry is, and how we latch onto a piece that gives us comfort in our time of need.
